“Play” is a representation of a technique that is central to my creative practice – playing. Play enables us to have freedom of movement, carefree of judgment or rules, and with the possibility of attaining something that guidelines prohibit us from. Play is fun, play is necessary, and yet play itself is often undervalued or overlooked. Similarly, in this artistic representation I take three seemingly simple and unique colors which quickly turn into complex, nearly-unattainable colors. The composition lends itself to both the simplicity of shape and form along with the minimalism of three colors to expose the complex beauty that they can produce. All in all, Play is a fun, unique, simple-yet-complex, pop of color and light that makes a fabulous addition to any space.
