About the Item
Original painting by Lesia Danilina. Acrylic on canvas.
Abstract acrylic painting on canvas "Moments of summer1".
In this series I explore the skill of the observer. To be an observer is to be "in the moment. Each moment is unique and unrepeatable, and each moment is something to be grateful for, without comparing it to other moments in your life or, even worse, in someone else's life, and without placing your hopes and expectations on it.
What does the moment consist of, what smells, colors and tastes?
Take some time to focus on your mental health and find inspiration in the little things.
The contrasting abstract painting will make a nice addition to your collection of original paintings. Certificate of authenticity included.
Original painting is painted on stretched canvas. The sides of the painting are painted and ready to hang. Saturation painting is signed on both sides - front and back.

Lesia Danilina is a young talented artist who lives in Turkey. "Globally, the theme of my art is Healing and Mental Health. I talk about the state of mind of modern man in an era of global change and traumatic events. In my art, I propose to explore the causes of discomfort (Essentialism series) and to see ways to peace (Moments and Beige feelings). In doing so, I want to deepen Herman Rorschach's research on the interpretation of stains and personality characteristics of emotional states in the key of specifically healing from negative experiences. To reflect this theme, I use acrylic and soak-stain, and mostly uncoated canvas. Initially, I only have stain and color in my arsenal. And then I can only use the art of composition, knowledge of color psychology, and physics of materials (using different mediums for acrylics, water pours, texture pastes, and ground coffee). I create my abstractions meticulously thinking through each stain and color. To structure the work in abstract art is to conduct chaos. But at the same time, I am constantly in dialogue with my material, allowing it to guide me, thereby holding the balance. With a subtle intuitive understanding of how this works and influences the viewer, it can make a wonderful statement. It is resonant, succinct, and profound. I believe that healing work can take place through abstract works because it is when observing abstract paintings that the subconscious mind actively begins to work. I guide the viewer through experiences that have become healing for me and give support on the difficult path to inner harmony." Education MoMA - United States of America, 2021

“Mourning Barricade” Contemporary Gestural Red, Blue, & Green Abstract Painting
Located in Houston, TX
Contemporary red, blue, and green toned gestural abstract expressionist painting by Houston based artist Kristi Haines Herman. The work features layers of swirling brushwork in various jewel tones. Signed, titled, and dated on the reverse. Currently unframed, but options are available.
Artist Biography: As an abstract painter, Kristi Haines Herman, uses her artwork to execute ideas and two-dimensional environments that create an emotional experience for the viewer. Her paintings are inspired by personal involvements and reactions to them. Phrases and words ruminate in her mind and slowly turn into abstracted figures that convey her inner thoughts. Haines Herman is highly influenced by movement as her artistic expression due to many years in dance. Movement is depicted through various gestural lines, shapes, and texture which allow the audience to venture through the canvas; thus a visual dance from one edge to another on the painting’s surface.
Ballet was Haines Herman’s first love in the art world, starting at age five. She learned to use body movement as an outward expression which allowed her to explore various audience reactions. This would later correlate with her artwork. In her late teens, dance and visual art would intertwine with time on stage as well as painting for expression. Gradually, visual art became her primary artistic avenue.
Haines Herman attended Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia, where she majored in studio art under professors Frank Hobbs and Polly Dixon. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Texas at Austin. During her studies at UT, she was encouraged and challenged by many talented art professors, including Michael Mogavero, John Yancey and David...
