About the Item
As a continuation of her joyful and expressive series, Just the Beginning II delivers the same punch of movement and vibrant color in a 20 x 20 inch square format. Crafted in mixed media on canvas, the piece offers bold marks, layered textures, and a sense of freedom that feels both contemporary and inviting. Ideal for smaller spaces or as part of a diptych with Just the Beginning I, this piece brings in just the right amount of energy and edge. A modern favorite for collectors with an eye for color and spontaneity.
Lily was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up surrounded by art (her grandmother, mother, aunt, and cousin are all artists). In 2011, her mother, Meg Harrington, opened Huff Harrington Fine Art, a serene and inviting gallery nestled in a quiet Atlanta neighborhood. From a young age, Lily was inspired by the beauty of the gallery, the talent of the artists and the beauty and integrity of the works hanging throughout the quaint little cottage.
Her artistic journey began when she was a sophomore in high school. An Atlanta designer (and friend) suggested Lily paint a piece for an installation she was doing. Lily created the piece, the client loved it - and so it began. Lily’s now in her sixth year as a practicing artist. She recently graduated from the University of Georgia where she studied English and Cognitive Science - and painted throughout her college career. She is lucky to be able to continue to develop her artistic voice and experiment with new techniques with the help of endless love and support from friends and family. Her work has appeared in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles and Better Homes and Gardens.

I work, diligently and with integrity, to bring truth and beauty to the canvas. I use an array of different palettes and mediums and with these tools, I hope to bring life the everyday splendor of the world around us.
