The Prismatic Series is based on light, movement and color, abstract paintings expressing the changing qualities of the external world, without any limitations of form. Textured/Layered Abstract Painting. Painted with palette knives. I added several layers of primer before adding my main layers. I have used 2 Blue hues and 2 Green hues as the main colors for this painting. Then I started to focus on the abstract lines & patterns I wanted to create. I decided to create some whimsical abstract strokes which gave me more ideas to use on this painting. I have used additional colors such as Red, 2 shades of Orange, Gold, and a Teal Blue as the additional whimsical abstract accent color lines and patterns. There are small touches of Gold in the Teal section of the painting. There are small details that are hard to pick up with my photographs. The painting can be hung 4 different directions - so there is 2 Vertical hangings and 2 Horizontal hangings. Felt pads included on backside corners.
