Sensatrac

2014

About the Item

"Sensatrac", mixed media on panel — 48 x 72 x 2 inches — 2014. (b. 1956) Mark Vinci is a Phoenix-based mixed media artist and a recipient of the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. Through his abstract work, Vinci documents what he feels is the collective experience of the high-speed, dynamic nature of modern city life. "Sensatrac" combines text and imagery from advertisements spliced together. While the title might be a reference to a particular brand of auto parts, it might also be eluding to the sensory overload we face as we move through our daily lives.
