Abstract, angular forms in black, red and pink float like constellations across a soft peach background with hundreds of undulating pencil markings in this stunning large-scale abstract by Michael Dee Cookinham (American, 1942-2015). Evoking an ethereal cosmic scene of stars in the galaxy, while at the same time something more animal. From the estate of Michael Cookinham. Unsigned, one of a small collection from his studio (we include an example picture of another we also own showing his signature and pencil sketch). This item will be shipped rolled and will need to be matted and framed. Edges of paper show wear and tear consistent with age and history, which will be covered when matted. Image size: 36"H x 73.5"W. Shipped rolled in a tube. Michael Cookinham taught art for over 50 years. He taught private classes and publicly at Merritt College in Oakland, CA.
