Series "Ocean of Light" is an expressive and immersive series of abstract paintings that captures the rhythm of emotion through motion, color and explores the untamed beauty of nature, and the expressiveness of the human spirit. This rtwork transforms the canvas into a fluid, living surface—one where movement, emotion, and energy converge in waves of color.
Working primarily in shades of blue and turquoise, with accents of white, Ocean of Light evokes the vastness of sky and sea, as well as the internal landscapes of memory, emotion, and intuition. Each painting is created through a spontaneous, gestural process that prioritizes motion over control, emotion over representation. Drips, splashes, and sweeping strokes are laid down in rhythm, allowing the paint to find its own path—guided by instinct, gravity, and the artist’s physical engagement with the canvas.
Each piece in the series is a moment of motion made permanent—a trace of energy, like a wave frozen mid-crest. The works do not depict the ocean; they become it. Through their layered, dynamic compositions, they mimic the flow and turbulence of natural forces. Some paintings feel calm and meditative, like sunlight glimmering on still water. Others pulse with intensity, capturing the tension of stormy emotion or the chaos of inner transformation.
In this series, the ocean is not just a metaphor—it is a mirror, reflecting the shifting tides of feeling, the force of nature, and the boundless capacity of art to move, to heal, and to illuminate.

Nataliia Krykun, born in 1988, is a Ukrainian contemporary multidisciplinary artist based in Austria. She is known for her bold and expressive use of color. Inspired by the iconic "drip painting" technique made famous by Jackson Pollock, Krykun has developed her unique approach to Abstract Expressionism. Through his artworks, Nataliia explores infinite possibilities within abstract art. Her artworks from the unconscious represent her most authentic self, radiating a sense of freedom and spontaneity, capturing the essence of emotions and movement through cascading layers of paint.
With various painting techniques, she doesn't hesitate to do abstract experiments on symbols and emotions, constantly searching for solutions to her self-expression.
She has participated in numerous international exhibitions and Art Fairs worldwide, such as La Biennale di Venezia - Pavilion of Ukraine at the 58th International Art Exhibition. The project is entitled "The Shadow of Dream," Art Fair Vilnius 2023, the Krems Museum (Dominican Church), Affordable Art Fair, and Miami Art Week.
Her artworks are in private and corporate collections worldwide, including those in the USA, the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates.
