"The painting "Crying Violin" was created under the impression of the street musicians I had heard." said Natasha about this painting. "At that time, I was returning from Brno, Czech Republic. There were a few hours until the bus, so I wandered around the city. Suddenly, I heard sounds. They were divine, as if coming from heaven. I followed the sound. A girl with a violin and a guy with an unfamiliar instrument. No one passed by. People stopped. I stood there around the corner. Tears were flowing down my face. I looked at the sky and thanked God for the gift of music. This was how the idea was born.
The painting carries the divine energy of sound within the violin itself.
It’s oil on canvas. I was using a multi-layered painting technique. I used a sky-colored background, and it seems as though an angel is playing. The painting is unframed , but ready to be hung on the wall."
