Neerja Chandna Peters
The Self #16. From The Self Series

2024

About the Item

Realising the consciousness or Self is realising the Universe and its Source. Connecting with this light within is also then a path of connecting with the Source. The Self series of works celebrates this connection with the Self. NeerjaI enjoys navigating harmony through the play of lines with their symmetrical synchrony and rhythmic interplay, manipulating the nuances, their saturation and their values, thus creating a subtle movement of optics with their variable refrangibility. In her compositions, lines and light are not mere aesthetic choices, but act as conduits that lead the viewer into a space of stillness and contemplation. Over time, the artist has come to understand that clarity often lies in reduction. A single color or the movement of a line can evoke a deep resonance when approached with intention. This practice is as much about process as it is about outcome. It is about finding balance, not just on the canvas, but within. The act of creating becomes a reflection of this alignment, a moment when the finite touches the infinite, and the work itself becomes an offering. Signed by the artist

Chaos Theory 3 ( abstract, landscape, red, yellow, gray, sky, texture, tree)
By Rachelle Krieger
Located in New York, NY
While Rachelle Krieger hints at elements of landscape across her canvases spherical shapes for rocks and boulders, dynamic lines climbing up and across the canvas for trees—she is really after an expression of what occurs in the atmosphere, far above ground, and how those occurrences affect what we can see, feel and touch back on the earth’s surface. Through the artist’s unique mixture of materials, applied with her signature expressive and bold brushwork, Krieger tackles what is in constant flux—the sunlight, rain, electrical storms, thunder, wind and air. In "Chaos Theory...
