What Plants Dream Of is a dance of lines and forms, reminiscent of flowers born in the imagination. The painting transforms ornament into a stream of energy, where every curve is a thought, every detail a dream. Here, flowers cease to be flowers; they become symbols of unexpected ideas that cut through space, finding their way into existence and surprising even their creator.
In this work, doodle-flowers turn into a semi-abstract ornament — a dynamic field where ideas are born and collide. The painting explores the nature of human dreaming: arising out of chaos, unfolding in the inner world, and manifesting in unforeseen forms. Lines and spots act as a map of the subconscious, where the energy of movement points to the transformation of hidden desires into living reality.

Olena Kishkurno was born in Ukraine in 1976. She graduated from Kharkiv State academy of design and arts with a master's degree as a restorer of easel and monumental painting. Since 2022 lives in Germany. Olena is an artist who explores the changes in humans resulting from the clash with the digital world, their integration into this realm, and subsequently, the loss of connection with their original essence.
The main mediums are painting and graphics. Works with oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media.
