About the Item
In his painting "1er âge", Olivier Ebel invites us to contemplate an abstract, hypnotic universe. On a dark, mysterious background, regular, sinuous lines intertwine, creating an impression of movement and flux. These lines, which the artist himself calls "time", evoke the cycle of life, birth, growth and death. They are also a symbol of the regularity and repetition that characterize the lives of infants.
The contrast between the dark background and the light lines creates an effect of depth and perspective. The eye is drawn to the center of the composition, where the lines intersect and overlap. This visual tension reinforces the feeling of energy and vitality that emanates from the painting.
The use of color is sober and elegant. Black and gray dominate, creating an atmosphere of mystery and solemnity. Rarer touches of white bring a touch of light and hope.

Olivier Ebel
Olivier lives and works in the Nantes region.
After having participated in sketching courses, live models and a 4-year cycle at the fine arts of Cholet, 25 years in the industry in many fields, Olivier experiments with different techniques, reproduction, upcycling, sculpture on wood and metal and since 2012 painting on wood panels.
Inspired by large formats or asymmetric formats, his work is based on the superposition of layers of paint and tinted varnish to give movement and depth to his painting.
A first 18m long fresco which loops in a room on the theme of time and the cycle of life, orients it towards continuous painting by the realization of square or triangle base columns which are painted flat alternately then assembled to compose columns.
The plurality of areas of interest push Olivier to create a unique range of furniture: tables, armchairs and chairs under the Dysform brand.
Today, following a student project at the fashion school in Cholet, a second collection of men's t-shirts will see the light of day.
