MATINEE, by Pamela Boullier Ross, speaks to the artist's instinct for balance, color and engaging subject matter in this distinctly one-of-a-kind original masterpiece. "I usually approach my canvas without a clear direction in my mind. "Matinee" began as an experiment in balance working on a challenging, vertical 24" x 72" canvas. I always paint to music, and in this case instrumental classical piano was on, although my thoughts were about air, new technology and architectural space. The defining moment came at the end with the piano and adding the sheet music to the paper airplane (Fleure de Lys by Beethoven) " Modern - Abstract - Expressionism - Contemporary. Mixed Acrylic , Metallic, Pearlescent and Opalescent paints on canvas with semi-gloss finish. Brush and Paint Skin.
