This abstracted seascape painting by S. Cora Aldo features a cool, light blue palette with warm sand tones in the foreground. This painting was inspired by the many themes within my art. Duality is seen in the changing textures and colors, creating a strong sense of depth, concave to convex as well as dark to light. Emergence, another theme, occurs with each layer of paint. New forms start to emerge as if by magic, creating a sense of excitement and mystery. In this painting I hope to evoke the feeling of beauty as well as the challenges of the sea.
