Peter Evans (b. 1979) is a multidisciplinary artist and songwriter originally from London, now based in Brazil. Drawing inspiration from found materials, ephemera, and the everyday, Evans repurposes familiar and often overlooked aspects of life to create new abstract forms. Working across collage, photography, and painting, his accessible abstract works remain open-ended in meaning, offering viewers space for fresh interpretations and reflections.
Evans graduated from the MA Fine Art course at Chelsea College of Art in 2016, where he was awarded the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship. His work has been exhibited at Saatchi and Delphian Galleries in London, Mana Contemporary in New York, and En Face in Paris. In 2017, his self-published book Thinking of You, Postcards: 1948-2015 was included in the Tate Library & Archive collection. In 2019, he completed a residency at Palazzo Monti in Brescia, Italy. That same year, Evans relocated to Brazil, where he currently lives and works from a ranch just outside Rio de Janeiro.
