Contemporary colorful painting by Houston-based artist Peter Healy. The work features expressive pink, blue, yellow, and red strokes against a light gray background. Signed, titled, and dated on the reverse. Currently unframed, but options are available.
Artist Biography: I am an Irish artist with a background in illustration. These days I work in series and also individual paintings, drawings, and assemblage. My mediums are oil paint, acrylic, ink, pencil, collaged fabric, assembled wood/ various 3d objects and paper. I try to let ideas come to me and sometimes let the pieces speak to me through their creation using editing as part of the process. They are usually colorful and I often try to illustrate the contrast of living in the sparsely populated Fermanagh countryside of my youth, and living in the city with a diverse population. I have lived in Ireland, England, Amsterdam and Los Angeles. I now call Houston, Texas home where I live with my wife and two daughters. These experiences and diverse populations have influenced my work. There are so many ways to represent population architecture and nature, that I am constantly going between mediums to describe these relationships.

Peter Healy is a Northern Irish artist with a background in illustration. These days he works in series and also individual paintings, drawings, and assemblage. He tries to let ideas come to him and sometimes let the pieces speak to him through their creation using editing as part of the process. Artist Biography: Born in New Orleans, Robert Benjamin Stiles (Benji) is a multidisciplinary artist and educator who lives and works in Houston. He holds a B.A. from the University of St. Thomas, with a major in Art History and a minor in Studio Arts, and is currently an MFA candidate at MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art). His work ranges from non-representational painting focusing on diverse mark-making and color theory to conceptual sculpture and assemblage using historical and found objects. Since 2019, Stiles has established a successful art practice at Hardy and Nance studios while exhibiting work throughout the region including three solo shows (Hardy & Nance Gallery 2020, Lonestar College 2021, G-Contemporary 2022).
