About the Item
Rachel's aluminium resin paintings are constructed in layers. Initially in a gestural manner, then becoming more complex with each layer. By adding colour and cells she partly obscures the shiny metal base. The surface has a mirror finish of high gloss yacht varnish. This creates a true 3D element and produces a wow factor to the art.. The rich gold, orange, yellow and coral of this piece are mood enhancing and have the feel good factor to the viewer. Parts of the metal are unpainted allowing reflection. Use of iridescent ink add yet another sin.
