Artist Biography: New Yorker- Latino living in Houston, TX, Ramon Severino (aka Severo) is a contemporary artist and graphic designer who combines fashion, logos, neo-expressionism, and street art with vivid colors in a rough, emotional way.
Severo combines traditional and new painting techniques, influenced by old painters and designers such as Basquiat, Warhol, Frida, Milton Glaser, and more. Severo uses charcoal, acrylic, oil pastel, and spray cans to bring characters and shapes to life. Growing up with Latino pop culture and literature, Severo merges a lot of his artwork with his roots. His work has been exhibited in new York galleries and some Houston restaurants.
