About the Item
Highly textured, this mixed media painting on paper shows several organic forms in hot colors on a background of blue and wine. This is part of a series called "Intuitive". The abstraction of shapes into patterns and color makes the piece feel as though it were alive. It is sold unframed.
Richard Callner is a painter who at various times was focused on myth, abstraction, interior landscape, and geometry. He led the Art Department at University at Albany, NY, thus influencing scores of artists who’ve gone on to recognition. Callner died in 2007, but his work remains in public and private collections from Israel to the United States.
