An abstract expressionist acrylic painting on canvas with wonderful color combinations of soft, pinks, yellow and effortless lines and shapes. Inspired by Claude Monet's Lilly Pads, this piece is the artists interpretation layered with paint and texture, and has a soft yet dramatic touch . A beautiful large, elegant and chic decorative piece with movement, and depth. Signed by the artist and comes with a COA from the gallery. Art measures 36 x 36 in Robert Gregory Phillips is a contemporary American artist. He works in a broad range of media including painting, photography, drawing, collage, video and code art. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Painting from Troy University, Alabama. Abstraction, realism, impressionism, minimalism and color field are among the influences of his art. Deeply connected to poetry and the tranquil essence of nature, Robert discovers unique patterns and colors to reveal his inspiration drawn from people, history and underlying simple, everyday moments. His paintings explore a unique color pallet which is at times soft and vulnerable and at others frivolous and chaotic. The Butterfly series for Ash began as a sentiment to her late Father. Butterflies began to appear in unexplainable ways after his passing, the artist later discovered that Butterflies represent spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope, and life - she goes on to say: "The butterfly series draws inspiration from Rivera's quote 'Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can.'" After coming to the fruition that Butterflies pose as not only a symbol for beauty and rebirth, Almonte felt a feeling of deep comfort. Her passion for sharing this message of hope and renewal through her colorfully diverse canvases is achieved with resilience leaving her audience glimmering much like the inner voice and the spark of Joie de vivre that fuels her purpose in life to create.
