"Rhino" Abstract Geometric Composition in Oil on Canvas
Bold abstract painting by Rod Norman (American, b. 1947). Colorful shapes are divided into sections by bold grey lines. There are a variety of colors, including bright reds, yellows, pinks, and several shades of grey.
Titled, signed, and dated on verso: "Rhino" 11 x 14 Rod Norman 2003

Rod Norman (American, b. 1947) is an artist and art director from Oregon. He was the Creative Group Head, SVP for D'Arcy Macius Benton and Bowles in Ney York for ten years, transitioning to a full time career as a painter later on in life. Norman began painting at a young age, winning his first exhibition prize at eight years old. He first studied drawing and painting with Dr. Charles Deitz, the director of the local art museum in Ohio, and then at the Art Student's league in the evening classes while working as an executive at Benton and Bowles.
