This large abstract oil painting is by Dutch contemporary artist and art teacher Rubins J. Spaans. A unique oil painting on the finest quality Belgium linen canvas. The painting is a color study that takes the viewer back to the abstract works that Rubins made in the 1990s and early 2000s.
**FREE SHIPPING** Due to its large size, this painting will be shipped rolled to minimize shipping costs. The painting is shipped rolled up without stretcher bars. This method is especially safe for large works. Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival.

In addition to his figurative work, he occasionally makes abstract works as part of his color research.
Rubins lives and works in Alp, a small mountain village in the Spanish Pyrenees.
He is classically trained in the techniques of the Old Masters, and yet he has remained the street painter he was at the beginning of his painting career in Barcelona.

Rubins J. Spaans, born February 18, 1966 in The Hague, is a contemporary Dutch painter who lives and works in Alp, Spain. His works have been widely exhibited in group and solo exhibitions, including at the Kunstmuseum Den Haag.
