Cross-section of the moment 1, Contemporary Abstract Oil Painting Canvas Yellow

2018

$10,200

About

Cross-section of the moment 1-2018 is a vibrant contemporary abstract expressionist art by South Korean artist, Seungyoon Choi. It is a large oil painting on canvas with a strong yellow and red color aesthetic and expressive brush strokes. A dynamic artwork bringing two opposing forces together to start a harmony. Everything is a result of opposite energies - this is a concept of the creative process of the artist. This painting is a statement piece that grabs attention in any interior decor. It is an original unique art piece that is in excellent condition (new). It is shipped directly from the artist's studio in Seoul, South Korea along with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed and dated by the artist. You will receive this wall art canvas mounted on wooden stretchers and ready to be placed on a wall so you can enjoy it in your own interior design right away. Seungyoon Choi believes that the ’Beginning of the Stop’ is the basic rule of the world. There are two interpretations of a ‘Beginning’ and a ‘Stop’. Blue is generally defined as a cool color tone. However, the hottest parts of fire appear to be blue as well, the same as the hottest stars in the Universe. This is an example of opposing forces, and that is why blue always appears in the artist’s works. Seungyoon Choi oil paintings follow abstract expressionism traditions and are executed on large canvases with dynamic interplays of colors. All works are from Seungyoon Choi’s collections ‘Beginning of the Stop’, 2015-2016 and ‘Cross-section of the moment’, 2017. 'The world is full of paradox. There is always a need for the existence of opposing forces. Imagine a heartbeat. It operates by two opposite forces: Contracts and Expands. When we are cold, we need warmth. When we are hot, we need coolness. I somehow believe that this is the basic rules of the world. Eventually, I am motivated by this and my work is mostly inspired by this concept — Beginning of the stop.' - abstract expressionist, Seungyoon Choi.
