Vast, open landscapes and endless horizons inspire the composition. The textured foreground depicts a field, the mountains are in the middle ground, and the sky is at the top. The loosely painted brush strokes give an impressionistic feel to the painting.

About the Artist
Artist Srinivas Kathoju creates vibrant expressionist landscapes that reflect the ever-changing colors of seasons and times of day. "Nature tremendously influences my work, fueling my lifelong love for art," says Srinivas. Using primarily oil paints, he layers textures with brushes, palette knives, and even old credit cards to depict expansive fields, mountains, and horizons. His compact home studio—a corner of his living room—is where he paints daily, accompanied by music, an essential part of his process. A full-time software engineer, Srinivas finds joy in interpreting nature’s beauty through bold, expressive compositions that blend impressionist softness with modernist structure, inviting viewers to explore the boundaries of the landscape. In his spare time, he enjoys being with family and friends.
