About the Item

Sveta Hessler (Russian, born 1973) "Rainbow Rolex III" 2024 Oil Paint, Canvas, Stretcher bars The artist signed the bottom right and the back of the painting. The thick, impasto brushwork gives the painting a tactile presence, like each circular formation could be plucked from the canvas and held in your hands. These bold strokes and rounded shapes evoke a modern take on the iconic, luxurious design of a watch, but here, time itself feels playful, light-hearted, and full of possibility. There is something hypnotic about the way the colors twist, like a carousel of dreams or a kaleidoscope of memories. "Rainbow Rolex III" pulses with joy, an exploration of color that invites both stillness and motion, like a moment in time that is both fleeting and forever. About the Artist: Born in Yoshkar-Ola, Russia, Sveta Hessler's artistic journey is deeply rooted in the vibrant cultural tapestry of her childhood, enveloped in the sounds of her family's singing and the melodies of guitars and balalaikas. Sveta pursued her early academic interests by earning a degree in Social Psychology from the University of Moscow in 1999. Seeking new horizons, she moved to the United States, where she continued her education and received a Cosmetology degree from the College of San Mateo in California in 2008. Sveta’s art is a celebration of life and beauty, drawing inspiration from nature, urban landscapes, cinematic narratives, and literary characters. Each stroke of her brush is an exploration of human emotions, moods, and the distinctiveness of the human spirit. Describing her art as gentle, happy, and uplifting, Sveta adds a touch of magic to each piece, transforming her canvases into vibrant stories that resonate with cheerfulness and vitality.

Colorful Afternoon - Vibrant Impasto Oil Painting
By Ekaterina Ermilkina
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Ekaterina Ermilkina’s original, abstract fine art paintings are created using a skillful combination of applying and removing oil paint with a palette knife on canvas. Her inspirations are the expressionistic skylines of big cities like Manhattan, Philadelphia, or Chicago filled with colorful skyscrapers. The urban, scenic views are abstracted and rich with vivid and textured layers. Ermilkina’s emotional architectural patchwork and mosaic cityscapes radiate a life of balance and positive energy. This artwork measures 15 inches high by 30 inches wide. Ermilkina carefully adds thick cube-like dots of oil paint with a palette knife in distinct patterns onto the surface, adding an intricate three-dimensional texture to her oil paintings. The color spots partially blend into a fuller range of background tones and give the artworks a significant depth. She signs the front of the artwork and paints the sides as a continuation of the front. It does not require framing. It is wired and ready to hang. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping. A certificate of authenticity issued by the gallery is included. Born in 1975, Saratov, Russia, Ekaterina Ermilkina now lives and works in New Jersey. She grew up in the beautiful city of Yalta in Crimea on the North coast of the Black Sea, where in 1985 she enrolled as a student to the School of Art of F.Vasiliev, graduating in 1991. After her first introduction to fine art in Yalta, in 1992, Ekaterina Ermilkina moved to Saint-Petersburg, Russia. In 1998 she received her MFA from State Art and Industry Academy. The unique beauty and rich culture of the city inspired her to paint cityscapes. In late 2005, Ermilkina moved to the U.S. Her works has been presented in various solo and group exhibitions in international galleries and art fairs and have been collected throughout the United States, as well as Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, and Russia. Her artworks pop with color and motion, casting a candied haze across the urban landscape. “I am focused on art all my life. It makes me optimistic, full of energy and happy. The vivid colors of Crimea where I grew up, the beautiful marine of the Black Sea, inspired me to paint for the rest of my life. I believe that paintings can reflect our desires for beauty, poetics and perfection.” Artspace Warehouse has been representing and exhibiting Ekaterina Ermilkina's original oil paintings since 2013.
