About the Item
These paintings invite you to immerse yourself in a mysterious dream world, where the delicate image of a butterfly with white wings and bright orange dots on the tips of its antennae emerges against a deep, dark background. Soft yet rich hues and the use of textured paste give the artworks a tangible depth, as if opening a doorway into a space where the line between reality and dream becomes almost invisible.
The butterfly in these works symbolizes the fleeting and ephemeral nature of dreams, which, like its wings, appear and vanish, leaving behind a sense of tranquility and harmony. This painting will serve as a source of inspiration in your home, creating an atmosphere of serenity and grace.
Perfect for decorating a bedroom, living room, or any corner where you want to create a space for reflection and relaxation. The dimensions and details of the painting highlight its collectible value, making it not just a piece of décor, but a work of art that will inspire and bring joy for years to come.
This painting was exhibited at 2024, Arte Padova, Contemporary Art Talent Show, Padova, Italy

ARTIST BIO
Rebecca Kamen, artist, and lecturer on the intersections of art and science, seeks ‘the truth’ through observation. Her artwork is informed by wide-ranging research into cosmology, history, philosophy, and by connecting common threads that flow across various scientific fields to capture and re-imagine what the scientists see.
Kamen has exhibited and lectured both nationally and internationally. As catalysts for her artwork, she has investigated scientific rare books and manuscripts at the libraries of the American Philosophical Society, the Science History Museum, and the Cajal Institute in Madrid. She has also worked on collaborative projects at the Center for Astrophysics at Harvard University, the Kavli Institute at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Rochester Institute of Technology. While artist in residence in the neuroscience program at National Institutes of Health, Kamen interpreted and transformed neuroscience research into sculptural form.
Her work has recently been exhibited in the Creative Resilience: Art by Women...

Palavra #2
By Paulo Canilhas
Located in Brooklyn, NY
I am fascinated by the individual’s relationship within society.
It is in this context that I exist.
Along the beaten path, I allow myself to observe from a multitude of vantage points; towards the recent past or a future yet to occur. This is what inspires me- the creative moment yet to happen, laden with limitless possibilities. When I take a look at the past, I identify social and personal nuances and their direct influence on my work, and then with excitement look for what comes next. In this process I take distance from myself and view with a critical eye. Ever evolving, I search for more.
I am neither a painter nor sculptor, much less a photographer or director, but I am a little bit of everything. I don’t feel bound to one specialized art form, and this allows me to navigate free and unencumbered by norms and expectations. My goal is not to achieve perfection in any one area, but rather to explore all disciplines- joyfully challenging myself, provoking and exploring beyond any pre-conceived limits.
In my work I try to establish a connection between my reality and the reality of those who dedicate a few minutes of observation. I’m constantly searching for the vanishing point that gives diverse expression to my artistic production. This is the creative fuel that drives me ever forward.
