Svetlana Shalygina
Original Contemporary Minimalist Large scale Texture painting Burnt Orange Oil

About the Item

"The Sacred Color" is an original minimalist oversized painting by the late Svetlana Shalygina. It is a part of the limited series sought after by interior designers for its ability to add depth and vibrancy to the most sophisticated spaces. It is also a valuable addition to a private collection. Gallery wrap canvas, archival quality. Svetlana Shalygina was born in 1973 in former Soviet Union and immigrated to USA when she was 20 years old. She worked hard to build a life in a foreign country all by herself, but always found time to sketch, paint and create. Deeply fascinated by classical art, poetry and literature since early childhood, she dreamed of studying art in New York. After realizing the expansive goal of formal art education was to never become reality, Svetlana moved to Phoenix, AZ where she found quiet and mysterious beauty of desert incredibly inspiring - it was dramatically different from anything she had ever seen before, and so she dove into creating full time. In the years that followed she travelled the United States and Europe, relentlessly visiting museums, art shows and exhibitions, and admiring architecture and atmospheres of Milan, Paris, Rome, Vienna and many others, while developing her self-taught skills and style, which made her creative path that much more unique. Svetlana’s art is a testament of her profound interest in human behavior and emotions, love of nature, poetry, diverse cultures and an incredible ability to see the beauty in everything that came in her path. Her eclectic pieces have been shown in galleries all over the world, as well as featured in art and interior design magazines. When she was dabbed ‘the darling of America’s leading interior designers’ by Yorkshire Living magazine, it was especially appreciated because interior design was something she was also deeply passionate about. Today Svetlana’s art adds sophisticated touch and elevates some of the most beautiful interiors around the world, which is something she found pride in. In the August of 2022 Svetlana was diagnosed with cancer. After short but relentless battle she passed away in June of 2023. Even while sick and weakened by treatments, she never stopped doing what she loved the most and felt was her purpose - creating art. It gave her visible happiness and drive, even in the darkest of times. She is terribly missed by everyone who knew her and who’s lives she inevitably touched. Limited collection of art works Svetlana left behind provides a small glimpse at how she saw the world to be vibrant, beautiful and endlessly intriguing. "I would like you to acquire my art because it speaks to you, touches your life, reminds you of a particular journey or experience, or simply brings a smile to your face." - Svetlana Shalygina

Coin Shooter - Layered Blue Abstract Shapes Figures Contemporary Painting
By Jonas Fisch
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Swedish artist Jonas Fisch’s imagery is vibrantly buzzing with colorful commentary on society - past and present - morphed into figures, words, and shapes. His heavily layered canvases are the foundations of a new visual dialogue. Fisch paints with a jazz-like spontaneity, expressing personal emotions, commenting on contemporary society, and exploring old mythologies. Formulating a galaxy of the unknown, Fisch’s textural paintings flood the mind with possibility. His process is instinctive and organic, the paintings energetic and vibrant, emerging from his subconscious without judgment. They are constructed by feelings trying to find harmony. Endless figures, messages, layers, and symbols move in and out of focus as the eye explores his puzzle pieces with varied solutions. Jonas Fisch created this one-of-a-kind colorful 50-inch tall by 55-inch wide painting with mixed media. acrylic, and oil stick on canvas. This artwork is stretched and is ready to hang. This artwork does not require framing. It is signed by the artist on the back of the painting. Free delivery is available for those in the local Los Angeles area, and affordable worldwide shipping is available for US and international art collectors. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with the artwork, ensuring that the piece is an authentic work of art from Jonas Fisch. Born in a small fisherman's village in southern Sweden, contemporary artist Jonas Fisch discovered his love for drawing and painting at a young age and was inspired to pursue his passion by renowned artist and grandmother Ann-Marie Sjögren. Fisch reflects, “As a fundamentally introspective person, I have an explosive need to express and communicate my innermost rays, reflections, and shadows. The canvas, the brush, and the paint allow me to act out, throw up, confront, and examine those innermost feelings. Painting becomes my outlet. At a certain moment, each shape, stroke, and color suddenly takes over and the painting reveals itself. It becomes an expressive personal collaboration of art." Fisch's artworks have been exhibited across the United States, Switzerland, and Hong Kong. His paintings can be found in private collections worldwide. The Upside Down - Large Original Abstract Painting Ready to Hang
By Bruce Rubenstein
Located in Los Angeles, CA
The paintings of Bruce Rubenstein seamlessly marry sophistication with affordability. His original art merges the creative attitudes of the two distinct art hot spots of New York and Los Angeles. Rubenstein's work has a rigid edge and strong composition but maintains organic shapes and soft colors as well. His works have a character that brightens a space. His paintings pull from abstract expressionism and cubism but maintain a contemporary edge that strikes the viewer. His work seems collectively new and timeless at once. This large affordable one-of-a-kind 40 inch square and 2.25 inch deep artwork is a mixed media composition on canvas. It is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. This large abstract painting is signed by the artist on the front and back of the artwork. The sides are painted and it does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. Provenance: Artplex Gallery. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. While the artist has chosen to keep the price upon request, this captivating piece embodies both sophistication and exceptional value. Bruce Rubenstein specializes in large-scale artworks, using huge canvases to tell his stories. Born and raised in New York, he moved to Los Angeles in 1985. His mixed media artworks defy categorization, blending abstract forms and organic shapes with subtle hints of figures and symbols. Adrien Brody and Mickey Rourke are among Rubenstein’s collectors. Bruce Rubenstein’s artistic influences include artists from Joan Miró and Jean Arp to Gerhard Richter and Pablo Picasso. “He is an artist, and that means someone who cannot restrain the flow of ideas,” says author David Rodgers. “He is someone who they just burst out of, who cannot help but communicate, and who sees no reason to stop. He’s a man not limited by media to communicate the stories that he needs to (and must) tell, through any medium he feels necessary.” His works are represented by Artplex Gallery Los Angeles and have been exhibited and collected worldwide, including exhibitions in Austria and Israel.
