Waiting for you is a large abstract figurative painting by Tiffany Zhu. Using only primary colors and lines that define basic shapes, this abstract piece strips figurative art into its beautiful bare bones: muses blending in and emerging from the background, using color to define bodies, and using thick, confident strokes to outline figures.

Tiffany Zhu is an American artist born in Nanjing, China. After moving to New York, she studied at The Student League of New York and The National Academy Museum and School, majoring in oil painting. Her art style is very much Americanized and reflects American aesthetics. Her works depict life’s tension vividly, which allows viewers to feel the artist’s lively energy. Such energy reflects the sincerity Tiffany values in her real life: she is who she is, and she paints what she sees. Her paintings also reflect what she saw, and all of her artworks were started from sketches on the spot just for recording what she sees. Flowing the sketches, she then completed her works.
