In his current body of work, Tim uses large gestural drawings to create energetic abstractions. The layered process of his pieces creates a rich textured surface. He starts with several layers of acrylic, paintsticks and sumi ink, using processes of contrasting colors and surface techniques. The layering process of his paintings evoke a sense of depth while creating a textured surface underneath, inviting the viewers to take a closer look. Energy created in the background of his pieces brings attention to the subject matter in the foreground. They recall a sense of place as well as bring the viewer back into his paintings.
Tim began his career in art working primarily in photography, capturing moments using non-traditional techniques with multiple exposures and cross-processing of black and white photography. He has been painting for over 20 years in New Mexico.

Michael has been working as a painter and designer for over 20 years.
