A striking modernist painting that presents a dynamic abstract composition characterised by flowing, interlocking geometric shapes, executed in oil onto board and dated 1986.
The forms intertwine and overlap, creating a sense of motion and complexity. The dominant palette of cool blues, soft greys, and warm orange gives the work a calm yet grounded aesthetic, balanced by the interplay of warm and cool tones.
The brushstrokes are precise, emphasising clean lines and distinct colour blocking. The overall impression is reminiscent of mid-century abstraction, with hints of cubist influence in the fragmented and reassembled forms.
