About the Item
The paint is made in the author's technique of painting by Vasili Zianko based acrylic painting on canvas using a variety of textures, washes, the finest glazing, volumetric contour readable for blind and visually impaired people by touch.
The painting is based on an ancient Chinese legend about Princess Chang E, the wife of the archer Hou Yi. The beauty ascended to the Moon to save the elixir of immortality. Beautiful Chang E became the goddess of the Moon and lives in the Moon Palace. Together with her, the moon rabbit Yuetu lives on the Moon, he crushes the potion of immortality from the bark of the cinnamon tree and the wonderful lingzhi mushrooms under the magic cassia in an agate mortar with a jade pestle. So they live together - the moon goddess and the diligent rabbit, who tirelessly crushes the powder of longevity in a mortar. The Moon Rabbit is a symbol of immortality, longevity and healing.

Vasili Zianko was born in 1977,Belarus.2006 Graduated from Belarusian State Academy of Arts.Since 2019 - Chairman of the monumental art section Belarusian Artist Union.Authors pieces are original view of interaction humanity and nature.Personal technique is based on painting with acrylic on canvas with different textures, thinnest glazing, volumetric outlines.Since 1995 participates regional and international exhibitions. Conducted more than 10 personal projects in Minsk ,Warshaw, Vienna, Vitebsk, Moscow, Paris.In 2018 ”And by feeling to see..." unique art-project for blind and visually impaired people had started, it is the first inclusive art-project and important step to creating bounderless environment in Belarus.Creative background of the artist includes major monumental projects in Belarus also.Zianko's art-works belong to Contemporary Art collections of National Art Museum of Belarus, National Modern Arts Museum of Belarus and others., Museum of Russian Art (New York, USA) and private collections of Austria, Belarus, Germany, USA, Norway, Russia, Poland,Turkey, France.
