About the Item
"Pink Punk" is a large, acrylic painting / wall sculpture on a flat, shaped wooden panel. It is attached to the wall on two wooden cleats and projects 1.5" from the wall, creating a series of shadows that enlarge the space of the piece. All hanging hardware attached and ready to install; no additional framing required. Free delivery in central Virginia; highly reduced delivery in the Philadelphia area. Please contact me for details.
Interdisciplinary artist VM Fisk studied painting and video art at California Institute of the Arts and sculpture at Virginia Commonwealth University. Working primarily with acrylic paint on shaped wood panel, Fisk examines shape, color, texture, and pattern through what she refers to as “mild illusions,” hoping to remind the viewer that things may not always be as first perceived.
Her works have been exhibited nationally at institutions including the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, CA, and her works are held in the Mexic-arte Museum Permanent Collection in Austin, TX and the Capital One corporate collection. Fisk was also listed as one of Tribeza Magazine’s “10 to watch” in 2016. She currently lives and works in Gordonsville, Virginia.
