This piece is part of Voskan's ongoing series of abstract expressionist paintings. He spends many hours over multiple sessions creating each piece. Sometimes he will work on a painting for months or even years until he finds the right inspiration to complete the composition. This piece reflects the warmth of the sun's ray on my skin on a bright summer day. It is meant to bring warmth and pleasure, to brighten up a day or mood, Voskan says.

About the Artist
When Voskan Galstian approaches a canvas, he does so with an open mind. When I am creating art I tend to sever my mind from making decisions he explains. His paintings show this intuitive process in their dynamic movement and unique color combinations. Voskan finds inspiration in abstract expressionism; in the vein of that style, he paints based on his deepest emotions. Many people have expressed that they feel a connection with his work - in some cases, it soothes them. When he's not making art, you can find Voskan traveling or reading about geography.
