Artist Comments
A phenomenon is an object of a person's perception; the mind or senses take notice. it is merely an experience. Beauty mysteriously enables us to engage in phenomena naturally, yet, such a natural state throws us into existential conundrums. These works are objects of phenomena. An experience that is of delight and stillness, but are uncertain, wrestling, and sometimes convicting. This painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.

Artist Morgan Fite utilizes palette knives to create subtle, feathery layers in this abstract piece. "I was inspired by the olive tree, an unexpected evergreen whose fruit, much like us, undergoes immense crushing and pressing in order to produce its cherished oil."
About the Artist
Abstract artist and Tennessee-native Morgan Fite paints delicate compositions that allude to natural forms and changing light. She paints with neutral tones and feathery brushstrokes that give her art its soft and dreamlike quality. She is inspired by her travels and cites the earthy tones of Central Africa and the textures of Roman architecture as particularly influential. For each piece, she begins her process by selecting a color palette from her collection of flowers and rocks. Throughout her portfolio, Morgan strives to make art that invites, moves, and inspires.
