In this glowing modern still life, artist Yamilet Sempe adds a surreal touch to the bottle. Lit from behind, abstract elements fill the vessel giving it an outsized feeling, like looking through the window of a furnished home. "Potions are a combination of different ingredients," says artist Yamilet Sempe. "Here the ingredients are made of your own perspective, reflecting the viewer’s interpretation and self."

About the Artist
Yamilet Sempe is a French-American artist who works in a boldly graphic abstract style visibly influenced by modernist aesthetics. She describes her color palette as being a reflection of her positive energy. Yamilet loves being in nature, finding inspiration in the sea near her Florida home. The subtropical weather and the brightness of the sun guides her choice to use primarily warm colors. Yamilet is also influenced by painter Hilma af Klint and the architecture of Paris.
