ARTIST STATEMENT ON THIS SERIES
“Stellar Waves” is a fascinating addition to my artistic journey, and I'm thrilled to share more about it here. These vibrant pieces are part of my ongoing project where I delve into the mesmerizing vibrations and rhythm of the cosmos. Presented artworks measure a playful circular 48 inches and combines the tactile appeal of wood, the fluidity of acrylic, and the glossy finish of resin. What I find most compelling about Stellar Waves is its 3D nature, which I like to call a Chromatic Wall Sculpture. It's an innovative fusion of painting and sculpture, giving it a tangible presence that leaps off the wall. When you approach any of “Stellar Waves”, the first thing that draws your eyes in is its concentric rings, each a different hue. I deliberately chose to start with a serene, soft gray or calm blue on the outer layer, creating a transition into more vibrant, energetic colors as you move inward. It's like watching ripples in a pond or viewing the universe through a cosmic lens. Blues, yellows, pinks, and greens radiate toward the center, each separated by bold black gaps that give structure and intensity to the visual rhythm. The creation process of this artwork involved more than just applying paint. It was a dance between adding layers and allowing each to cure, crafting a piece that is as much about texture as it is about color. The result is a dynamic, bold artwork that encourages you to pause and explore its depths. “Stellar Waves” invites viewers to connect with the ethereal rhythm that binds us to the universe, reminding us of the vibrant energies constantly at play around us. I hope it captures your imagination as much as it did mine in the creation process.
