Painted by professional portrait artist Joseph Sundwall of New York this equine and figurative impressionist landscape is packed with excitement and elegance, motion and grit! The artist has used techniques from impressionist to abstraction with carefully placed colors and textures to accentuate the drama that's unfolding in this original equine oil painting. Sundwall grew up in Chicago where his artistic talents were recognized as a young child. His development lead him to study art at the Kansas City Art Institute, then the famed Art Students League and National Academy of Design in NYC and followed by training in London at the St. Oswald Studios. He developed his exceptional ability to create figurative compositions as well as portraiture to significant acclaim having refined his techniques with famed portrait artist Everett Raymond Kinstler, perhaps best known for his portraits of the United States' Presidents. Sundwall original oil paintings are in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and continental Europe. He continues to actively paint, show and sell his works while always developing nuances to his style.
