Couple is an 20 X 16 oil on canvas painting of a sheep and a longhorn who look as if they are in search of something. Couple is by Texas artist Luke Autrey who lives and paints in Austin, Texas. In this painting are a Texas sheep and longhorn and it makes us wonder what they are looking at. Or are they looking at someone? Or perhaps an Aussie cattle dog? Are they looking for the way back to the ranch ? Luke is a master in realist painting and there is another example in the images of a Texas Longhorn. He is also known for his pet portraits by commission (send message). Framed
Born in Sulphur, Louisiana, Luke Autrey is largely a self-taught artist living in Austin, Texas. With an interest in art and painting since childhood, Luke was inspired to start painting late in life by his family & partner. Luke was also inspired and given direction by family member, American Impressionist James Scoppettone. Luke's current series is inspired by his upbringing on a farm in a very rural area where ominous skies or oncoming dusk would end time outside.
Also shown are other available paintings by Luke Autrey.
