Through his artwork, US artist J.W. Pippen explores a life-long love of Asian ink-on-silk paintings. His narratives have no beginning, no ending, and no plot. Rather they function as a story with intersections and collisions from the artist to the viewer with the painting serving as interpreter. In the language of the spiritual self, the intent is to set the tone of a perfect void or Zen reflection. Pippen strives for his works to create a place of calm; an escape from a world now charged with technology, information, and celebrity. One should feel at harmony alone with a piece of art and find comfort in being lost in a journey with the painting. This one-of-a-kind original artwork is 48" tall by 23" wide.
