Everything is contained in a given space. The links between spaces provide the starting points for her paintings. In this way, narrative sequences are born or reconstructed, newly connected to each other. Every picture is a collage that Beatriz pieces together to rebuild an everyday scene of her life. What has survived in memory is ranked and cartography or visual reference from the real world are the basis for her preliminary notes and sketches. However, Beatriz deliberately introduces a sense of doubt about the events, an allusion, a historical element that takes his or her place. Her work is about playing with a set of different stories. Beatriz works at the notion of instability. Beatriz visits the past and represents its uncertainty through new interpretations. The resulting narratives are an unending re-transcription.
