The Tree Series explores the tree as a subject with its own personality as it relates to its environment and landscape. Trees are rooted in the earth, holding onto the ground while they stand upright with their branches reaching into the air to interact with elements and seasons. They have a lot to teach us. The original painting is textured with an under-layment of thick acrylic paste that is painted over. The image continues around each edge.
