Attention all shoe lovers! This whimsical mixed media figurative abstract piece features four surrealist nude figures with red and blue high heels as heads, on a bold blue, yellow, black and grey striped background, by New York artist M. Jane Balanoff (American, b. 1954), 1954. A fun conversation piece for a shoe store, clothing store, or those with a closet full of heels. Signed and dated lower right corner "M J Balanoff '95". Painted on wood board with oil paint and paper. Unframed. Image size: 24"H x 24"H x 1.5"D.
Jane Balanoff is a visual artist and playwrite whom studied at Reed College and University of Chicago. She lived and works in New York City and New Rochelle New York.
