Arturo Tosi
Arturo Tosi started his painting career in 1885. In 1882, his family moved to Milan. He trained with artist Adolfo Feragutti Visconti while attending the La Scuola Libera del Nudo at the Accademia di Brera (1889–90). He associated himself with the post-Scapigliati and joined the artistic circles of Carlo Jotti and Gerolamo Cairati.

In my works, I always want to show that nature is beautiful and worthy of admiration - a newly blooming water lily, falling leaves from golden trees, a pink sunset sky... This could go on forever..."
