About the Item

"Bites of Trivial Matter," is a six panel work by Binay Sinha. The artist discusses modernity, specifically the effect in has on an urban society. The transition from small community villages to large sprawling metropolitan cities like Dehli has had a huge effect on how people communicate and think, and Sinha delves into those differences. Follow our storefront at Gallery 1202 for new listings and sales. From the artist: "It is said that ever since mankind learned to live in society, ideological differences started. As the scope of our society has grown, so has the scope of our ideological differences. This artwork is inspired by the growing society and increasing differences in society. Every morning the newspaper is filled with such news. Some images of the artwork are imaginary and some are transitions of events. I have used dark red and black colors to show the seriousness of the subject. In addition, incompleteness in the layers indicates uncertainty." "My art practice tries to understand the relationship between nature and human existence in the contemporary world. The rapid development has confused the culture. Human dependence on nature has been described in India and all the ancient civilizations of the world. Ayurveda (The Science of Life) also describes the laws of nature and nature’s dependence for human health. but currently, we have become indifferent to nature. Apathy towards nature has increased due to urbanization and increasing population. The greenery is shrinking, the cities are spreading. Like many Indians, I too had to migrate from my place to a big city for a living. And I can feel the pain of getting away from nature. By depicting the contemporary theme with the help of Rajasthani miniature technique, I have tried to embody this feeling. Which is an experience of keeping traditionalism alive in contemporary art. I have used water and acrylic color on paper. My work is in sets that present the content in a variety of ways." We will ship this via standard parcel boxed with internal support to maintain the integrity of the piece. The work will be fully insured during shipping. Dhiraj Chowdhury - Untitled - 14 x 10 inches (unframed size) ink on Paper ( Unframed & Door Delivered ) Style of the Artist : He steadfastly believes that art has to be closely associated with life – with humanity, with humanism. And he comes through with this concept in his works – which are sometimes heart – reading, sometimes violent, brutal even chaotic, but always cogent, modern, and somehow loaded with both wisdom and hope.
