Signed on the front side and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. About the Artist Joy Eyitayo Alagbe Is a mixed-media artist based in Ibadan, Nigeria. He was Born on June 14, 1997, in Ogbomosho, Oyo State Nigeria. Art has always been part of Eyitayo's life as he draws inspiration from the life experiences of the people surrounding him and the way we are as Africans. After studying at Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, where he gained a National Certificate of Education in Fine and Applied Art, However, currently studying for a Degree in Fine and Applied Arts at the esteemed Obafemi Awolowo University. He decided to follow his desire to become an artist, intrigued by the mysteries of the human figure as a unique work of nature, he uses it to create works that speak to subjects he feels are neglected or not spoken about in Nigeria. He works in many artistic mediums but has a preference for Charcoal, pencil, and acrylic on paper and canvas, mixing charcoal and acrylic within a single composition because of its versatility and texture. He devotes his time in the studio to the study of his artistic technique and the search for continuous improvement of his expressive capabilities. Eyitayo’s art speaks about black power, hope, joy, pain, socio-political issues, and the way we are as Africans, He has been exhibited in both national and international galleries and his work is heard in Arnheim Collections, US Embassy, Equatoria Guinea and others. In addition, his art has been featured in both National and International publications.
