Marzia Trinca
Hemerocallis - Original Oil on Canvas by Marzia Trinca - 2019

2019

About the Item

Hemerocallis is an original artwork realized by Marzia Trinca in 2019. Original colored oil painting. Hand-signed and dated by the artist on the lower-right corner. This beautiful painting represents a Hemerocallis flower, so call why their flowers are so beautiful (kalòs), but they last only one day (hemeros), after which they wither. Marzia Trinca was born in Rome on 2 January 1962, a city where she has always lived. He graduated in Architecture at La Sapienza University in Rome with a thesis entitled "Assetto del Paesaggio". In the same years in which he studied at the university, he became interested in botany since he loved plants and flowers since he was a child. For more than ten years she is a member of the "Giardino Romano" Association which allows her to deepen and expand the recognition of plant species thanks to numerous botanical trips to Italy and abroad. During these trips he has the opportunity to visit numerous and exclusive private and non-private gardens. His interest in plants and flowers also transferred him to the professional field, devoting himself to the design of the green of terraces and gardens, and, for the interiors, to the design and manufacture of fabric artifacts. In 2002, she was forced to abandon her professional activity because she was struck by Parkinson's disease, which severely penalized her on the motor level and caused her to shiver located on the left side of the body. This is an important detail, being left-handed. However, he continues to consult texts relating to the plant world. In this way, he began to paint different oils on canvas, where the protagonist is represented by the flower that at that moment strongly inspires her. This, chosen as a model, is highlighted by shaded backgrounds. The use of color, which has always characterized the creation of residential interiors, now returns in his canvases, always well-calibrated. The design of the floral elements always has an initial geometric structure; this basic scheme is then softened by the insertion of the details and by the often material use of color.

The Melting of Glaciers - Oil Painting by Sabrina Pugliese - 2019
Located in Roma, IT
The melting of glaciers is an original Contemporary Artwork realized by the Italian artist Sabrina Pugliese (b. 1990). Original oil painting on canvas. Hand-signed on the lower right corner: Sabrina Pugliese. Hand-signed, titled, and dated on the back too. Total dimensions: 70x70 cm. Mint conditions. "This artwork pays attention on the issue of sustainability. In fact, I am an Italian teacher and I often talk in the classroom about these questions specially during civics classes. Originally, I was intent on creating a giant wave because I was born and I lived in a small village near the sea. Subsequently, I changed my idea because my brush painted this scenary by itself. I love the oil on canvas technique also because I can blend the colour for hours as in this case where the waves break up in the fluidity of the sea". Sabrina Pugliese Sabrina Pugliese was born on April 2nd, 1990 in a small village in the Southern Italy, Nova Siri. Since she was a child, she was interested in arts in their different forms: singing, playing piano and visual arts. She graduated in Modern Literature at the University of Urbino, in the heart of the Italian Renaissance, the birthplace of Raffaello Sanzio. She didn’t have the chance to attend artistic high school because it was too far from home. So, after the graduation, she began to devote herself to her passions: painting, exclusively oil on canvas. She has started painting as a self-trained painter to promote and improve her territory, Basilicata, also named Lucania. Nowadays, she expanded her project because she wants to spread Mediterranean holidays’ colours, sounds and perfumes, with the image of the sea, all over the world. She knows that painting can give voice to landscapes of the soul through seascapes. She lived for ten years away from home to study and work and, in this way, she created a stronger relationship with her origins. During the pandemic, she has decided to return to Basilicata to offer her small contribution to the Southern of Italy. She has participated in several national and international exhibitions including: • Collective exhibition with two painters: Giulio Orioli e Nino Oriolo for “Night of the brigands” 2019, in Nova Siri Centre (MT) thank to collaboration of Maria De Lorenzo...
