Captivating figurative oil on canvas painting by Norbert Schlaus (American/German 1927-2009) titled Bather's with Fish. Depicts three female bathers with a dog and a fish. Signed on bottom center of painting and set in an Italian gilt wood frame. Schlaus was born in Oberhausen, Germany but moved to California in 1962. His amazing work was focused primarily on face and body structure of the subjects. Provenance: From the estate of Norbert Schlaus. Several of his works are in the permanent collection of The Oakland Museum of California.
