About the Item
Summer Noon is a large-scale contemporary painting, created using a mixed technique of painting and spraying acrylics on canvas. Petras Lincevicius, a prominent artist of the young generation, is recognized for his exceptional painting skills. He is the author of a fresco in one of Lithuania’s prestigious SPAs and serves as an associate professor at an art academy. His artistic practice is deeply rooted in a respect for cultural heritage and an exploration of specific geographical locations. He defines his research theme as the (in)significance of local identity in a globalized world.
In this particular work, an old TV of the artist's grandmother is depicted installed by the grandma in a tree on her homestead and transformed into a "house" for her cats.
Due to a large scale of this work, we recommend shipping this work removed from the stretch bars and rolled to reduce shipping costs. The package measurements provided are for the artwork when rolled and packed in a tube. Please let us know if you prefer it to be stretched so we can recalculate the shipping cost.
