Polly Cook
Brooklyn Dreams

$7,500

About

Polly Cook combines the southern tradition of ceramic work with the tradition of Netherlandish altar painting. While she does not use Judeo-Christian Iconography or narrative, she carries the tradition of the altar pieces which reveal a complex narrative through contemplation of the various scenes, figures, and symbols used throughout the piece. Polly Cook is a hopeless romantic. She believes love always wins. Her subjects are always about romantic love and couples trials and victories through relationships.
