What I find particularly interesting in human intervention in nature is how we are still intertwined with it. The painting "On The Edge' is a glorious combination of figuration and landscape with a family or a group of friends sitting on the very edge of the Grand Canyon. American Realist Willard Dixon who has spent a lifetime capturing the West with its grand and humble spirit. The exceptional work comes framed with a natural and contemporary hard wood framing. 'Evening Beach' is 40 x 60 inches. The work is featured in the artists's newest book, Evening Light. Signed and dated by the artist. 'On The Edge' is 40 x 60 inches. Oil on canvas. It is traditionally framed in thin, minimal natural oak with an outer dimension of 40.5 x 60.5 inches. Artist signed and dated. Condition is excellent / as new. Painted in late 1992.
