Her searing portrait works and deft use of color are hallmarks of her oeuvre. Her nude paintings and women in evening gowns Her paintings of tattooed models explore “how decorating the body with this nascent lexicon of sampled marks--combinations of tribal, religious, feminist, and memorial--impacts both the form of the body and of the perception of identity." She studied under Wayne Thiebaud while in graduate school and had a major retrospective at Denison University in Ohio which included 40 years of work and over 60 paintings and drawings. She showed at Locks Gallery in Philadelphia (a prestigious gallery that shows Jennifer Bartlett, Nancy Graves, Alex Katz, Alice Neel, Louise Nevelson, George Segal and other greats. Moore considers herself a feminist, she takes photos of women using light as an important tool.
